The center for Human Rights Research and Advocacy for Sustainable Development in Africa (CHRRASDA) is a non-profit organization that focuses on the promotion, protection and advancement of human rights and Sustainable Development Goals within and beyond Cameroon. Founded in 2017 as Footsteps for Women and Children-Cameroon, (FOWEC-CAM) with the main aim to advance women and children’s rights and economic justice, we obtained our new status in 2022 to operate as the Center for Human Rights Research and Advocacy for Sustainable Development in Africa(CHRRASDA) with the mandate to ensure the effective implementation of both national and international human rights principles, disseminate human rights education to every nooks and cranes within and beyond Cameroon, carryout human rights research and publications of human rights journals and most importantly, evaluate the level of implementation of SDGs and provide recommendations to accelerate efforts geared towards achieving the set targets.
We promote human rights education through community outreach, advance human rights through research and publications of human rights journals and protect human rights by advocating for the effective implementation of both national and international human rights principles and instruments.
